Junior National Young Leaders Conference
Grades 7-8 | Bethesda, MD
Calling all future leaders, community organizers, and politicians! Students attending Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) will spend their week discovering the different ways they can make a positive impact in their community.
Over the course of their time at JrNYLC, students will:
- Participate in immersive workshops, including a week-long Voices of Change project
- Visit iconic D.C. sites, such as Arlington National Cemetery and the National Museum of American History
- Hear from keynote speaker Anthony Robles, the three-time All-American wrestler who was born without a right leg
- Enjoy structured social downtime with their program peers
JrNYLC prepares students to be critical thinkers and responsible leaders across any discipline. One of our recent alums, Kaydence, shared this feedback with us after their program: “I had never spoken in front of an audience before because I was too scared I was going to mess up or forget. This program taught me to just be confident in myself in whatever I do.”
