National Youth Leadership Forum: National Security

Get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look into the life of a national security expert (and live to tell the tale) when you attend NYLF National Security this summer.

Over the course of your time at NYLF National Security, you will:

• Participate in immersive simulations, including completing an FBI case study and responding to a cyber security attack
• Visit national security landmarks around D.C., including the International Spy Museum and the US Naval Academy
• Hear from career diplomats and cyber security experts and enjoy meeting with admissions officers from top US universities
• Enjoy completing group projects and spending social downtime with your fellow high school attendees

NYLF National Security will prepare you for a life dedicated to public service, from working in the government to becoming a cybersecurity expert in the private sector. One of our recent alums, Matelina, is a 12th grader who shared that the panel discussions featuring national security experts like Jonna Mendez were the most impactful part of her experience because they offered “so much understanding on what to expect when enlisting for a certain career.”
